To Our Members, Students, Sponsors, and Guests,

January 2010 began the 51st Year of the Northeastern Society of Periodontists. Our mission is continuing education and expanding scientific and clinical knowledge in the field of periodontics. With that focus in mind, my goal is to continue to recruit high quality speakers with innovative topics. I have to thank my Program Chairman, Dr. Bernard Rupnarain and the CE Committee in helping me to achieve this. Please join us at our Fall Meeting on October 1, 2010 presenting "Periodontal/Restorative Interrelationships: Current Concepts " . The 2011 Spring Meeting will be on April 29, 2011 and will be announced shortly with a great roster of speakers. Both meetings are at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City. This is a critical time in the evolution of periodontics, as the transitions in delivery of oral care, economics and cultural changes are directly and indirectly influencing our profession in fundamental ways. Our collective wisdom and experience can help us navigate through these changing times and come out better and stronger. We would like to hear from you, our members, about the topics of interest, speakers or any other matter relating to NESP. Please feel free to bring it up to me or any of the board members. I would also like to urge you to seriously consider becoming more active in the organization and joining the board. The NESP would not have been a success without the spirit of volunteerism and dedication by many individuals that has made it such a prestigious and fine organization. It is through such efforts that our organization constantly improves.

I pleased to continue serving as your president, and along with the Officers and Board of Directors, to continue to provide for you the finest CE programs available to our specialty.

Mehdi Saber D.D.S, M.S.D
